Westward Ho! has one of the safest beaches in the West Country with its miles of golden sand backed by the famous Pebble Ridge.
Along the promenade you will find a man made rock swimming pool which provides great fun at low tide. Rock pools give young and old plenty of opportunity to catch shrimps, crabs and many more of the smaller sea creatures. If you are lucky you may also see one of the many seals which pop in from time to time from Lundy Island.
For the more active amongst us, just along the road there is the Royal North Devon Golf Club, the oldest Links course in the country. Westward Ho! cricket ground is less that 100m from us.
Walkers will find the Waterfront Inn an ideal stopping off point as they walk along the beautiful North Devon Coastal Path. Nature lovers will enjoy the short walk to the Northam Burrows Country Park, protected from the sea by the Pebble Ridge, which includes the golf club and an area of sand dunes with interesting birds, insects and wild flowers.
